As you may have noticed, Liftr has been undergoing some construction lately as we grow and adapt to the ever-changing cloud market. Last week we rolled out some of our new branding as a sneak-preview, and adjusted our content format. This week, we have even more exciting updates for you.
Liftr Cloud Insights
Firstly, we’d like to take a moment to explain why you’ve been seeing so many changes here on LiftrNews.com. Liftr News began as a way to stay in touch with all the stories in cloud. While we have never lost sight of that original goal, we now have a plethora of data and tools to serve our viewers- and customers! As part of that growth process, we are rebranding LiftrNews to Liftr Cloud Insights and plan to package some of our data sets and analysis in ways that our customers can use. These will be available for purchase very soon.
The weekly Cloud Round-Up video and the daily Liftr Index numbers will remain free and easily accessible, as they always have.
Each week, we recap the biggest stories in cloud, and sometimes give a little insight into those stories by using the Liftr Index. While our news coverage isn’t going away, we think there is even more that Liftr Cloud Insights can offer our viewers. Now, the weekly Cloud Round-Up will not only contain a brief summary of the most impactful stories in cloud for the previous week, but we’ll also be taking a deeper look into the Liftr Index numbers, making predictions about the mercurial cloud market, or letting you know where you can find us in person! Stay tuned while we buff out the finish on our new and improved Liftr Cloud Round-Up!
Since we began our weekly broadcast, the Weekly Round-Up has been released on Friday mornings as a summary of the week’s cloud news. Starting this week, our broadcast will be moving to Mondays! Liftr Cloud Insights is all about providing you the most relevant and impactful information about the cloud, and instead of recapping old news, we are beginning to make predictions about what comes next. That format lends itself to a Monday release, where we can still recap all the most important stories in cloud, but we can also share exclusive cloud insights.
Another reason we will be shifting formats is because we are becoming more global! Growing international interest is an excellent thing for Liftr, but when we release Friday morning or afternoon, our viewers in Asia, for example, often catch it after business hours. For this reason, we will be releasing our videos on Sunday evening US CST to align with the start of the week for all time zones.
